Amelia Broccoli Virtù e saggezza. Considerazioni sul legame tra etica ed educazione

L’articolo propone una riflessione sul rapporto che intercorre tra l’educazione, la pedagogia e l’etica, prendendo avvio dalle sollecitazioni aristoteliche, di cui è presente ampia eco nel dibattito filosofico contemporaneo. Con Aristotele, infatti, l’etica viene considerata come disciplina a sé stante, come praxis autonoma che, insieme alla politica, contribuisce a creare l’abitudine alla virtù. Nel rapporto con l’etica, due possono essere le possibilità per la ragione pedagogica: legarsi all’etica della prescrizione, rielaborando profondamente il suo statuto scientifico; oppure accogliere la non perentorietà e la non epistemicità di un’etica della saggezza e della cura

Amelia Broccoli, Virtue and wisdom. Some comments on the relationship between ethics and education.

The article proposes a reflection on the relationship between education, pedagogy and ethics, starting from the aristotelic solicitations in the field of practical philosophy, which is largely echoed in contemporary philosophical debate. In fact, with Aristotle, ethics is considered as a discipline in its own right, as an autonomous praxis that, together with politics, helps to create the habit of virtue. In the relationship with ethics, there are two possibilities for pedagogical reason: to link to the ethics of prescription, deeply revising his scientific status; or accept the non-peremptory and non-epistemic of an ethic of wisdom and care.
