Silvano Gregorino, Caring Practises, the body in the nursing experience

This essay aims to question nursing real-life stories in the context of the relationship between bodies, reporting practical formative experiences and revealing important conflict elements from a cultural point of view. The phenomenology of caring practices is shown in the deepest sense of intimacy, in “touch” dynamics, and in the exercise of a power with and on bodies. In the background there is the concept that the knowledge of the “in-body” experience, culturally impressed and historically situated, becomes the possibility for a critical and formative exercise, starting from a reflexive and deconstructive look at caring practices.
