Massimo Canevacci, The wonder of ethnography. Syncretic transits between aldeia and metropolis

While defining the steps of his own path of education, study and research, the author detects some fundamental issues regarding the tangle of philosophy, sociology, anthropology and ethnography, focusing his attention on the interdisciplinary experience, which is capable of modifying and extending the frontiers of research. From the Frankfurt School to LéviStrauss and dialoguing with the main representatives of the worldwide anthropological culture, the author conveys, through a narrative which is not only biographical, the meaning of an intellectual commitment, constantly intended to the comparison with the epoch-making changes (political, social and artistic) of modernity.
